火烈鸟，也称红鹳，主要分布于热带和亚热带地区，在我国的野生种群数量稀少。2009年12月，国际野生动物保护协会（WCS）将火烈鸟列入世界珍稀鸟类，我国也将火烈鸟列为国家一级保护动物。2015年，观鸟志愿者首次在条子泥湿地发现火烈鸟的踪迹。此后，条子泥湿地连续多年有火烈鸟前来栖息、越冬，从起初的1只，去年的7只，到今年一次性飞来10只，种群数量为历年来最多。</span></section><section 百鸟翔集，有凤来仪。鸟类专家表示，鸟类栖息地首先要有足够的食物，还要有安静、安全、隐蔽的筑巢环境。火烈鸟选择在条子泥越冬，是对条子泥优良生态最好的证明和肯定。更多的火烈鸟种群光临条子泥，也增加了条子泥湿地“中国样本”“世界地标”的含金量。</span></p><p style="line-height: 1.75em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"> 条子泥，向海而生，因鸟闻名。这里是珍稀濒危候鸟保护的不可替代的自然栖息地，具有全球突出的普遍价值。在这片“湿地息壤、候鸟天堂”胜地，每年有数百万只迁徙候鸟在此停歇、换羽和繁殖。记录的数据表明，在条子泥湿地栖息的珍稀物种越来越多。勺嘴鹬是这块湿地上最受瞩目的明星鸟类，全球总数约600只，也是世界上最稀少的鸟类之一。此外，这块遗产地还为小青脚鹬、大杓鹬、卷羽鹈鹕、黑嘴鸥、大滨鹬、黑脸琵鹭、东方白鹳等百余种国家重点保护野生动物提供了理想栖息环境。</span></p></section><section 16px;">2020年，东台就近从一线海堤内的围垦养殖区专门辟出720亩区域建立高潮栖息地。以“生态自然修复为主，人工适度干预为辅”为方针，在尊重自然规律的基础上通过栖息地营造、裸滩湿地恢复、岛屿建设等措施，成功打造这块固定高潮位候鸟栖息地。为了让这些数以百万计的鸟儿休憩“安居”，在日常管护中，当地更是下足功夫，无微不至，精抓细管，尽最大努力呵护这些可爱的小精灵。</span></p><p 16px;">38岁的贾亦飞是北京林业大学东亚—澳大利西亚候鸟迁徙研究中心博士，研究的是湿地生态学，水鸟是他的最爱。令贾亦飞最激动的是，今年10月他带领团队在东台条子泥监测到小青脚鹬1164只，比去年监测到的1150只多了14只。这已是条子泥小青脚鹬数量连续两年突破学界预估。“不仅火烈鸟增多，还有很多鸟类的数量也在稳定增加，说明这里的湿地修复和管理是有效的。”贾亦飞说。</span></p><section
